Song of the Week 5-17-13

Counting Stars - OneRepublic

I am crazy about this album and this is the song I have on repeat the most. It’s not like your normal OneRepublic song, and I think that’s why I like it so much. It’s a little different and it’s so catchy.

I cannot get enough of this movie! I needs to come out now! 

This awesome. A Lego recreation of the opening to Casino Royale and it’s so fucking cool.

Song of the Week 5-10-13

Where the Wind Blows - Coco O.

I knew this week that I wanted my song of the week to be from the Great Gatsby Soundtrack because it is truly excellent. The hard part was trying to figure out which song of worthy of it, and trust me, there is plenty to choose from.

What makes this song stand out is that I simply cannot get it out of my head. I love the simplicity of the song, but it is so infectious. The vocals are great and I love the ol’ timey feel to it, with the slight modernization to it. This song best reflects what the whole album is like. It has become my favorite song off the album which is full of winners.

Finally footage has been released for Gravity. This film was supposed to come out last year, but the studio pushed it back and there has been a lot of secrecy behind the making  and exactly what the film is about. Based off this trailer, it looks like it could be terrifying and suspenseful. I like everyone involved, so this should be very interesting. 

Oprah first film she’s been in since Beloved. (I’m not counting voice over work) This looks well made and interesting. I’m excited to see her back on the big screen.

This looks excellent. Good to see Tom Hanks back in good form and I love the director.
